Qatargas began a month-long blood donation campaign, with the first one held at Qatargas Headquarters in Doha. The campaign, running for the 18th consecutive year, will continue throughout the month. As part of the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, the campaign was held in cooperation with the Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) with the objective of adding to the national blood reserves. The campaign will continue through the month, with additional three events organised at Ras Laffan and Al Khor Community, providing employees at the site and other locations an opportunity to contribute to the promotion of public health and wellbeing. The blood donation drive is an annual event which includes a wide range of health awareness programmes and support to health organisations in the country. Hundreds of Qatargas employees and contractors have donated blood during these campaigns. In addition to helping the blood bank increase its supply of blood and blood components, Qatargas believes that such campaigns also help promote a culture of voluntary blood donation in the society.
